My Tiny Tudor Cottage Blog
Greetings! I'm Tia, an impressionist artist a passionate, creative soul. My artistic journey took a delightful turn when I decided to embark on a budget renovation of a very small, bland home and yard into the old-world Tudor cottage I’ve always longed for.
With a deep appreciation for period architecture, I envisioned a cozy retreat that reflected my artistic spirit. And, as a long time decorative artist, I was armed with a plethora of knowledge so I rolled up my sleeves and leapt into the challenge, focusing on DIY solutions and upcycling materials. Salvaging reclaimed wood for the interior added character and warmth, while thrifted decor pieces enhanced the charm without breaking the bank.
Today, my Tudor she-shed is a vibrant hub for my artistic pursuits. From painting to gardening, the space resonates with my creative energy. The personal touches make it uniquely mine. It’s a blend of hard work, imagination, and a little bit of magic. This space, my home and garden have become my sanctuary, where inspiration flows and quietude is embraced.
I invite you to explore my artwork and the art of creating a unique, personal living space, proving that it’s never too late to infuse your home with your own style and spirit. Creativity knows no age limit. I learned that my living space is a fluid reflection of my evolving self — and that’s something to celebrate!
Creating a home is more than just assembling furniture and decor; it's about crafting an atmosphere that reflects our values, experiences, and dreams. For me, the passion for creating a warm and inviting home stems from a deep desire to cultivate a space where comfort and creativity intertwine. By blending personal touches, natural elements, and thoughtful design, I continue to curate a space that feels like a true haven.
